Jesus willingly took on the title "Man of Sorrows" to trade His spotless righteousness for our deepest brokenness. On the cross, He stood in our place, quietly bearing our shame so that we could receive full pardon and unconditional grace. As we sing these powerful words, we are invited to lay down our guilt and rest completely in His finished work. What a wonder it is that the Lord of glory became a suffering Savior just to bring us home.
